HARLEM FASHION WEEK PRESENTS "Creativity During COVID"

New York, NY- - In a world full of uncertainty one thing is certain, to thrive in this Pandemic you must be able to “pivot”. Harlem Fashion Week is known for fashion shows with hundreds of attendees but with COVID the company has opted to produce “fashionably safe” events with a series of gallery exhibits and boutique shows that will celebrate NYFW and Black History Month. 

“Maintaining Creativity during Covid has been both the goal and the challenge for the fashion industry during this Pandemic. Harlem Fashion Week continues to be innovative by taking a different approach to NYFW by focusing on fashion photography in our new exhibit, Capturing the Black Experience in Fashion.”  says Yvonne Jewnell, Creative Director and Co-Founder. 

All events will be held at the Kente Royal Gallery in Harlem. A core value of Harlem Fashion Week is to support the Harlem Community. The exhibit will run from February 5th-10th; with special presentations on February 5th, 6th and 9th The theme is “Celebrating the Black Experience in Fashion” HFW will also have a special section of the exhibit honoring the legacy of Andre Leon Tally. 


February 5th

February 6th 

Fashion Show and Pop Up Shop with complimentary mimosas. 12:00-5:00pm.

In support of emerging brands HFW will provide a unique opportunity for designers to both show and sell their garments.

February 9th
