Read MoretheFstate had the pleasure of catching a close look behind the scenes of the production of Men’s Fashion Week Dallas and their presentation of Eco-Fashion. Fashion is a high stakes world with high risk and the eyes of aesthetic review always circling around the bend. Fashion is forever fluid and constantly changing and evolving. This year Men’s Fashion Week Dallas takes a notable look at sustainable trends and quality apparel fit for the runway geared toward the luxuries of the elegance of everyday life. The designs were stylish and defined.
This year casted seven unique designers including High Ideals, Ghent Fur, Face Off Boutique, Phit Clothing, Alai Adore, DMKD Collective and Ramiro Rodriguez. Having assisted with the back of house production one of the Designer Brands that snagged my attention was the DMKD Collective. After later collecting further research with a visit to both their Instagram profile and website it completely confirmed my understanding of why. This brand is not your typical designer brand. It is steeped in both functional and inspirational value.
"Only the strong” is the motto for the brand driven by the values of determination, motivation, knowledge and drive. The brand uses muted, opaque colors, neutrals and tones. It takes to the streets to redefine the brilliance and strength of finely crafted streetwear. The brand is representative of not only the entrepreneurial lifestyle but of the intrinsic strength of us all. For more information about the brand and on where to purchase visit dmkdcollective.com
With strong designers representing value, a packed house, vendors, music, food and signature beverages the household name of Men’s Fashion Week Dallas reemerges to showcase their staying power. The eye capturing event, we have been told on good authority, was a small precursor of the good things to follow. The fashion show was held at the Art of Digital Influence (A.O.D.I) .
So I had the pleasure of speaking with designer Jason Christopher Peters. We talk fashion, art and inspiration. Jason sends a resounding message behind his artistry with words strung together like “Love is love, black models matter, save the earth, its my choice, and stop child marriage.”

This magazine is all a dream, a thought, a passion I have had since my childhood. Now here it is circling back around as I check off the milestones. Creative Art Director...check, Editor-in-Chief...check, Photographer... Agency Owner...check,and check. I am the living embodiment of my hopes and dreams, I am the embodiment of all the ledges I stepped out on and the story is only just beginning. I have lived 36 years on this earth and I am just getting started. I love artistic creativity the unique ability to imagine something and to execute the materialization of thought.
